Residence Life offers several opportunities to our students to be a part of specialty housing.
Sustainable Living Eco-stewardship Program (SLE)
Ramapo College’s SLE Program, relaunched in the Spring of 2017, aims to engage undergraduate students in promoting green lifestyles and in taking leadership roles for sustainability action on campus. The SLE Program draws on the tradition of our previous Sustainable Living Facility (SLF) program, and aims to broaden the agenda to include sustainability action. This is a residential program for students committed to practicing a sustainable lifestyle, and become ecological stewards within the Ramapo College student community.

Gender Inclusive Housing
Ramapo College seeks to provide a living environment welcoming to all gender identities; one not limited by the traditional gender binary. Gender Inclusive Housing allows for same-gender, opposite-gender or other-gender identities to live together regardless of biological sex.

Alcohol Allowed Housing
Suites within the Village and within the 7th and 8th floors of Laurel Hall may become Alcohol Allowed.
In order to become an alcohol allowed suite within these areas:
- All residents must be at least 21 years of age
- All residents must fill out the Alcohol Allowed Housing form, sent through their hall office
- A resident of the suite must request Alcohol Allowed Housing to their hall/area office
Once the above requirements are met, our staff will review the request, and hang an official alcohol allowed sign on the inside of the suite. The agreement must be placed in the holder next to the suite door before alcohol can be present.
Refer to the Student Handbook for Ramapo’s Alcohol and Other Drugs Policy.
