Important Resources

Current students are often familiar with the college, but occasionally need some additional support.  The following are helpful resources for current students:

Your Resident Assistants

Ramapo College Resident Assistants (RA) are trained peer leaders who supervise students living in our residence halls and housing facilities. Our RAs have many roles and responsibilities, having to balance not only their own normal work, but also help resident students. Resident Assistants at Ramapo College are trained and knowledgeable and a constant resource for student residents.

First-Year Students

To ease your transition to college, first-year students reside in Mackin, Bischoff, and Pine Hall. These halls both support their home away-from-home needs and provide an opportunity to meet other students with similar interests and form relationships.

Wondering about how you will be matched with a roommate for your freshman year? The Office of Residence Life utilizes housing software to help match students with roommates who have similar interests. These interests were based on their answers to profile questions completed as part of their on-line housing application. One of our goals for roommate matching is to help you find a lifelong friend. The majority of first year roommates stay with their roommates for their second year in housing.

Already know who you would like to live with for your freshman year? As part of this process, you will be able to request a specific roommate as well.

Further details regarding completing this process can be found in the document below (Important Information about the Online Housing Application).
