Virtual Career Services Update (COVID-19)

With the rapidly evolving situation regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the Career Center is modifying its delivery of services. For graduating seniors and employers looking to recruit, we endeavor to meet your needs while keeping the health and safety of students, employers and staff a priority.

Employment Services:

  • Jobs and Internships: Handshake is still available. It is an innovative, mobile-friendly career management platform which allows you to explore your career interests, find amazing job and internship opportunities, and connect with great companies / non-profits.
  • Information Sessions: All in-person networking, Roadrunner Treks, employer tabling and information sessions are postponed.
  • Career Fairs: The 2020 Teacher Education Fair scheduled for March 31st and 2020 Social Work Fair scheduled for April 6th are postponed.
  • Co-operative Education (Co-op): Please check in with your employer to see if you should still report to work. In the event your work site closes, please contact Debra Stark ( for information on how to proceed.

Career Development and Pathways:

  • Appointments: All career center meetings will be converted to virtual. If you have an existing appointment or would like to make an appointment through Handshake, career advisors will send you instructions on how best to connect virtually prior to your meeting date.
  • Focus 2 Review Sessions: All Focus 2 Review Sessions are moving to virtual (online sessions) for the remainder of the semester. After signing up for a session on Handshake, you will be given instructions on how to connect.
  • VMock Advising: For Pathways required students, resumes must score 86+ prior to being reviewed by a career advisor. If after 4 uploads your score has not exceeded 70 points or is failing to increase, please request feedback from your career advisor through VMock or email your career advisor.
