All Graduate applicants must submit the graduate programs application form with a non-refundable $65 application fee. Please review the general application requirements below and any additional requirements for the program you are applying to.

General Application Requirements

  • A completed Graduate Application, online or pdf
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with a recommended grade point average of 3.0
  • A 250 word personal statement or essay describing why the candidate is interested in the program, how it fits into personal intellectual development, and what the applicant expects to accomplish by enrolling
  • One letters of recommendation
  • Resume
  • A check or money order payable to Ramapo College of New Jersey for $65 must be included with your application materials.  Please print the applicant’s name on the front of the check or money order.
  • Applications without payment will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed

Additional Program Requirements

Master of Arts in Special Education and Master of Arts in Educational Leadership

  • Valid state issued teacher certification

Master of Science in Nursing

  • Valid  RN license
  • For Nursing Administration and Family Nurse Practitioner – 2 years work experience
  • 2 letters of recommendation

Master of Business Administration (MBA)

  • Interview may be required
  • 2 letters of reommendation
  • GMAT may be required after application review by Program Director

Master of Social Work (MSW)

  • Interview may be required
  • 2 letters of recommendation
  • 3-5 page narrative highlighting personal and professional accomplishments, values, strengths and weaknesses and aspirations after the MSW degree

Master of Science in Accounting (MSAC)

  • For Ramapo College undergraduates students pursuing the five year B.S. to M.S. program, must be a Ramapo College accounting major with a minimum cumulative and accounting major GPA of 3.0; have a minimum grade of B- in Intermediate Accounting I and Federal Taxation I.
  • For non-Ramapo College undergraduates, a bachelors in Business or Accounting is required, those without a Business or Accounting degree may be elgible for an MS Accounting transition program with consult of Program Director

International Students

  • Preferred WES Evaluated Transcripts or Evaluated transcripts from an approved current member of NACES
  • Affidavit of Support
  • Bank Statement
  • Proper Visa Requirements
  • If the U.S. less than 5 years, English test scores to be required:
    • IELTS – 6.0
    • TOEFL – Paper Based 550
    • TOEFL – Computer Based 213
    • TOEFL – Internet based 79
    • ELS – Completion of Intensive English Program Level 112
