As a student in the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) program in Creative Music Technology you will be part of an innovative community pursuing advanced studies across the full range of current practices in this rapidly developing field. You will study with a highly accomplished faculty of specialists who have prestigious international careers and teach in other leading institutions in New York City and internationally.  The development of your creative practice and specialization is at the center of the MFA experience, which emphasizes innovation along with rigorous theoretical and technical training.

The program offers the opportunity to complete a terminal degree in one academic year and one summer term.

During the Fall and Spring semesters, classes are offered in online and hybrid formats offering flexibility. The culminating experience will be an immersive Summer residency featuring guest master classes, performances, and other hands-on activities, leading to the completion and public presentation of your Thesis project.

A strong emphasis placed on flexibility, and students are encouraged to develop individual approaches to music technology that align with their specific professional goals and visions. The MFA will prepare you for careers in music production, recording, mastering, film and game composition, music programming, instrument design, or college teaching.
