Ramapo College Music Program Launches Record Label
RAMIX RECORDINGS, the new independent record label of the Ramapo College Music Program, released its first recording on November 17, 2017.
In celebration of the launch of the label, a release party was hosted in the Berrie Center on November 21, 2017. Several label artists performed, including futuristic, jazz-tinged R&B artist Ehiorobo, dubstep producer/DJ 8.0.Ace, contemporary R&B vocalist Jackie Narciso, hip hop artist Blind Eyez, and the electronic duo of Mister Maze X OD.
International Craft Night with Laurel Hall
Laurel Hall Resident Assistant Sandy held an International Craft Night on December 6, 2017 and the event was cosponsored by the International Student Organization (ISO).

Roadrunners Rally for Men's and Women's Basketball
On December 6, 2017, Ramapo came out to support men's and women's basketball teams with a pep rally. Sponsored by Ramapo College Athletics, there was a wing bar, pizza, prizes and free giveaways.
Psi Chi Psychology Honor Society Inducts New Members
Psi Chi is the International Honor Society of Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. On November 7, 2017, Ramapo psychology students in the top 35% of their class were inducted into the Honor Society.
Roadrunner Rally Draws Crowds for Men's & Women's Basketball
Now that's a Roadrunner Rally! The Board of Trustees, Ramapo College Athletics, and Ramapo SGA hosted a pep rally for campus to enjoy free food, prizes, a photo station, and giveaways during the Men's and Women's Basketball games against Montclair State University on November 29, 2017.
How to Make an Apple Crumble with the Beekeeping Club and the Havemeyer Edible Garden
On November 8, 2017, the Beekeeping Club and the Havemeyer Edible Garden on held a cooking class at the Havemeyer House. The event was centered around mindful eating, and students learned how to make a honey apple crumble.
Letters to Our Heroes with Mackin RAs Amy and Jaime
On Veteran’s Day, November 11, 2017, and in the spirit of thanking the brave men and women who have served our country, Mackin Hall Resident Assistants Amy and Jaime hosted an event to write letters to our serving soldiers. The letters made were sent to the Operation Gratitude Organization in California, which handles the placement of letters to servicemen and women, past and present. Operation Gratitude puts the letters in with care packages and gives them to our soldiers.

All students were invited to enjoy an early Thanksgiving Dinner on November 14, 2017 in the Birch Tree Inn. The dinner was served by the leadership team of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs (EMSA): Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, Dean of Students, Assistant Vice Presidents of Marketing and Communications, and Student Success, and the Directors of Ramapo College Admissions, Ramapo College Athletics, Ramapo College Career Center, Center for Health and Counseling, Ramapo CSI, Ramapo College Educational Opportunity Fund Program, Financial Aid, Office of Specialized Services (OSS), Public Safety, Ramapo College Residence Life, and Student Conduct.
Kay Ulanday Barrett Delivers Keynote for Queer & Trans History Month & Disability Awareness Month
On October 25, 2017 The Women’s Center hosted an event for Queer & Trans History Month & Disability Awareness Month with keynote speaker Kay Ulanday Barrett. Barrett is a poet, performer, and educator, navigating life as a disabled pin@y-amerikan transgender queer in the U.S. with struggle, resistance, and laughter. Barrett has been featured at colleges and on stages globally, including Princeton University, The Chicago Historical Society, and UC Berkeley. Barrett’s Honors include the 18 Million Rising Filipino American History Month Hero 2013, Chicago’s LGBTQ 30 under 30 awards, Windy City Times Pride Literary Poetry Prize, and Finalist for The Gwendolyn Brooks Open-Mic Award.
