Director Tim Landers Discusses the MBA Program

Leadership across Boundaries

Game-changing business challenges require ethical leaders with broad vision and the ability to collaborate across disciplines, such as finance and marketing. Through our twenty-month accelerated program, our graduates integrate multiple perspectives into actions that leads to better outcomes for all stakeholders. A Ramapo MBA will provide you with the tools to successfully navigate a changing business landscape.

Developing Tomorrow’s Leaders

Three of your 14 classes are dedicated to developing leadership skills but all of the courses challenge students to put their critical thinking skills to work. Through team projects and case studies, you gain additional opportunities to learn, practice, and reflect on the complex set of skills and strengths you need to lead with expertise and business acumen.

Case Studies in Action

The Ramapo MBA curriculum is designed with today’s real world challenges in mind. We present a real-world case, a business question or dilemma, and you work on solutions as an individual, a team, and sometimes a whole cohort. Working with our corporate partners, your cohort will serve as consultants to solve a current business challenge. Faculty present actual cases or business questions for you to tackle individually, in small teams, or as a larger group. Cohorts explore and debate the possible outcomes of each solution, reviewing what is known about the real-world scenarios. Throughout the program, you tackle cases from multiple perspectives, such as finance, marketing, change management or human resources, so that you gain the depth and breadth to stretch boundaries and lead the way.

Connecting with Peers and Colleagues

You learn as part of an intimate cohort of about 30 students who move through the program in tandem. Your cohort advances through the curriculum together and collaborates closely on projects, leading to a strong network of supportive peers and colleagues. Our graduates can attest to the lifelong personal and professional relationships that they gained at Ramapo College.

Early Mastery of Fundamentals

Before classes begin, you’ll complete several online modules in accounting, finance, quantitative methods and statistics, as well as business writing and communication. A grasp of these fundamentals ensures that your cohort begins the academic journey with a shared understanding of business fundamentals.
