Summer Housing

On-campus summer housing is available to all currently enrolled Ramapo students who wish to live on campus. Students will reside in the Village. Residents will have close access to their peers who reside on campus, various college services, Public Safety Office that operates 24 hours / 7 days a week, and more!

  • Due date/time: Tuesday, April 15, 2026 by 4pm.

Summer 2026 Interim Housing  

Summer Interim Housing Request

  • If you are a campus resident who currently resides in housing and have no other housing option during the timeframe in which the residence halls close for the Spring 2026 semester and reopen for the first Summer School Session that begins on May 25, 2026, you may request to reside in Interim housing from May 13, 2026 through May 24, 2026.  You (along with ALL of your belongings) will need to relocate to Interim Housing in the Village on May 13, 2026 at 3:00pm.
  • The charge to reside in Summer Interim Housing is $488.16.  This charge will be assessed whether you stay for one day or the entire session.
  • You will be required to check-out of your Spring 2026 housing assignment on May 13, 2026 at 3:00pm. Move-over and check-in to your Interim Housing Assignment must occur on May 13, 2026 between 3:00pm and 4:00pm. If you need to check-out of Interim Housing prior to May 24, 2026 due to a flight departure, you must notify the Office of Residence Life via email at reslife@ramapo.edu;  This request must be submitted by April 15, 2026.

Eligibility

Summer Housing is available to enrolled Ramapo College students who meet any of the following criteria:

  • Registered for summer classes
  • Ramapo College Student Employee
  • Internship
  • International Student
  • Housing Insecure (Ramapo College is the official address-Approval is required for this option)
Housing Sessions

Note: The “Entire Summer with Move Over” Session is only available to students who work for the college that have a Fall 2026 housing assignment. Students registered for the “Entire Summer with Move Over” Session must check out of their summer housing assignment and “move over” into their Fall housing assignment on the date indicated.

Rather than having to take all personal belongings home after the summer session, residents who select “Entire Summer with Move Over” will move all their personal belongings from their summer assignment directly to their Fall assignment. This is NOT available to students who select any other summer housing sessions, regardless of placement.

Ramapo College Student Employee Discount
  • Students employed by Ramapo College are eligible for a 50% housing discount. To qualify, students must:

    • Be employed by Ramapo College.
    • Work a minimum of 15 hours per week.
    • Have employment dates that align with their summer housing session.
  • To receive the housing discount, the Employment Verification section of the application must be completed. After summer housing charges are posted to a student’s account, it may take 2–3 business days for the discount to appear. If the discount does not appear, students should email reslife@ramapo.edu for assistance.

To qualify for the housing discount, students must work at least 15 hours per week during their Summer Housing session. Students who do not work for the entire duration of their Summer Housing will be responsible for the full housing charges incurred.

Payment Deadline and Withdrawal Policy
  • Summer housing charges will be posted on or around Thursday, April 30, 2026, for all students who submitted their application by the deadline.
  • Full payment must be made to the Office of Student Accounts prior to your check-in date. Failure to pay by the deadline may prevent you from checking in.
  • Students who submit their housing application after the deadline will be notified via their Ramapo email once charges are posted.

Withdrawal:

  • Students must withdraw before the start of their registered housing session to receive a 100% refund.
  • No refunds will be issued after the session begins.
  • Withdrawal requests must be sent from the student’s Ramapo email account and include:
    • Full first and last name
    • R-Number
    • Summer housing session
    • Statement requesting withdrawal from summer housing

Check In/Check Out & Placement Information

Students will be housed in the Village in four-person apartments, each featuring single bedrooms and a shared kitchen. Room assignments will be provided at check-in.

Residence Life will make every effort to accommodate specific housing requests; however, they cannot be guaranteed. Roommate requests will only be considered if both students are registered for the same summer housing session.

Housing assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. Students must submit their application by the stated deadline to ensure placement prior to the start of the first session.

Once a student has been billed and checked in, any request to change housing sessions will result in reassignment and a $100 cleaning fee.

Students requesting housing accommodations for a medical-related condition must be approved and affiliated with the Office of Specialized Services (OSS) and notify the office of their intent to secure summer housing by April 15, 2026.  Once a student is affiliated, OSS will notify the Office of Residence Life of any approved housing accommodations based on the medical documentation provided. Dining Services

Meal plans are not available during the summer. Each Village Apartment is equipped with a full kitchen; therefore, residents are not required to have a meal plan.

 

SUMMER RETAIL DINING

Students may purchase Ramapo Dollars by emailing ramapodollars@ramapo.edu from their Ramapo email account. The email must include the student’s full name, R-Number, and the desired Ramapo Dollar amount. Requests will be processed within three business days, and a confirmation notice will be sent once the request has been processed

Students who register for summer housing must abide by Ramapo College’s Code of Conduct as outlined in the Student Handbook and the Guide to Community Living. Students must also comply with the housing guidelines outlined in the summer housing application.
