Freshmen

This fall, Ramapo College welcomes over 1000 freshmen primarily from New Jersey, the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the United States and from many foreign countries. In 2023, Ramapo College received over 7500 applications from all 21 counties in NJ, 33 different states and 34 foreign countries.

Ramapo College of New Jersey welcomes applications from International Students seeking an F1 student visa. Students from more than 40 countries are currently attending Ramapo College. In 2023, Ramapo received applications from students in 34 different countries.

Transfer

Each year more than 700 transfer students enroll at Ramapo College of New Jersey. These students enter from more than 135 colleges nationwide including 35 New Jersey colleges. Approximately 60 percent of these students enroll from two-year colleges. Ramapo also enrolls transfer students from countries all over the world.

Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF)

The mission of the EOF is to provide access to higher education and support for highly motivated students who exhibit the potential for success, but who come from families/communities disadvantaged by low income and a lack of access to quality educational preparation necessary to attend college.

Re-Admit

If you are a matriculated student (accepted and enrolled in a specific degree program) who voluntarily interrupts your study at Ramapo for two or more consecutive semesters, you must apply for readmission before resuming study. Students who have not attended Ramapo in three or more years must resubmit all official transcripts.

Non-Degree / Visiting Students

If you wish to take courses to help with job skills or for personal enrichment, you never attended college but wish to try college by taking a course at Ramapo, currently attend another college or university and wish to take a class at Ramapo as a visiting student, then Ramapo College is a great place to start.

If you are a high school student looking to get a head start on your college career, enroll in our Dual Enrollment program. Students can earn credits from Ramapo College through approved courses taken in their high schools.

Scholarships

Ramapo College offers merit-based scholarships for freshmen applicants. Freshmen applications MUST be received by December 15, 2023 and complete by January 15, 2024 to be considered.
