Web Conferencing for Snow Days, Online Learning, and More

November 7, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 1:50 pm

Webex is a powerful teaching and conferencing platform that enables instructors to conduct live online classes and office hours. This workshop will introduce the basics of Webex and demonstrate its tools, including chat, screenshare, polling, and more. Webex is an ideal platform for synchronous learning for online and hybrid courses, and it makes for a great way to hold class even on snow days.

Pedagogy Connection: This online learning platform is ideal for online and hybrid courses. Webex enables students to collaborate online, present research, and participate in chats and forums. Instructors are able to use the platform as a vehicle for delivering quality online synchronous instruction through the microphone/webcam, screen sharing, polling, and much more.

Open to faculty and staff.
