Collaborate in the Cloud Using Google Docs

February 25, 2016 @ 1:00 pm - 1:50 pm

Ramapo’s Google Docs is a web-based suite of applications that includes a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation tool, drawing tool and forms. This workshop will focus primarily on the word processor, where you will get hands-on experience creating, sharing and edtiting a document with others. Google Docs is ideal for sharing and collaboration, and will help eliminate multiple versions of files getting passed around when you need to collaborate with others on document editing. There is no software to install on your computer; just login to your account with your Ramapo user name and password, and everything is online. Use Google Docs to promote active learning within your courses.

Pedagogy Connection: Google Docs enables instructors to create collaborative assignments and peer editing groups. This is also an excellent tool for brainstorming and sharing important class information.

Open to everyone.
