Sophia Riccobono-Baron '26

Sophia Riccobono-Baran’26 as the Alternate Student Governor on the Ramapo College Foundation Board of Governors. Sophia is from Waldwick, New Jersey, and is a sophomore business management major and psychology minor with a pre-law concentration. At Ramapo, Sophia has been active in several organizations and activities, including Student Government, Women in Business, and RCTV.  She is often involved in community-based fundraisers such as marathons and food drives and spends her free time traveling and reading. She is proud to be a first-generation American who was raised with both American and Slovak culture throughout her life. She loves to socialize and stay involved both on campus and in the community

Russell Sommers '05

Russell is a Partner at Baker Tilly US in New York

Russ is a dynamic executive level professional, subject matter expert in governance risk and compliance specializing in highly regulated industries and public companies specializing in financial services, insurance, digital assets, banking and technology. Russ began his career as a financial statement auditor, then transitioned to a risk advisory professional.
Russ is a Ramapo Graduate Class of 2005 and has been an active member of the Anisfield School of Business Alumni Advisory Board.  Russ resides in Hazlet with his wife Michelle and 2 children, Gabriella and Ava. We’re thrilled to welcome Russell to the Board and know he’s going to play a vital role on our audit committee.

Anthony Cambria '92

Anthony Cambria ’92, Senior Manager, Marketing Operations, Stryker

Anthony is a 20-year veteran of Stryker, holding various leadership roles within the marketing organization. Other experiences include marketing roles with well know organizations like SONY Electronics and Consumer Reports Magazine.

An active member in the community as a coach in Ridgewood sports programs for 15+ years and a 7-year participant in the Ridgewood High School Jamboree, a volunteer organization that raises need-based scholarship funds for college bound seniors.

1992 Ramapo graduate with BA in Communications.

Dr. Christopher Romano, Ed.D.


Outreach & Engagement Core

Dr. Christopher Romano, Vice President for Strategic Enrollment, Outreach & Engagement | Executive Director of the RCNJ Foundation, joined Ramapo College in 2007. His portfolio includes leadership of the College’s recruitment, retention, development, and community outreach/engagement. Dr. Romano oversees the Development Team, Admissions, Center for Student Success, Marketing and Communications, Athletics, Degree Completion, Financial Aid, and serves as the Executive Director for the RCNJ Foundation. Prior to serving as Vice President, Dr. Romano enjoyed roles with Ramapo as Associate Vice President of Enrollment Management & Student Affairs and as Special Assistant to the College President. Dr. Romano’s research has focused on strategic enrollment management, the College presidency, and executive leadership. He has presented nationally on strategic enrollment management, student engagement, marketing/branding in the context of enrollment management, and developing institutional models for student success as well as presenting to both new and advanced chiefs of staff on the role within the context of higher education and leadership development. He earned his Ed.D. in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University, his Ed.M. in Higher Education Administration from Harvard University and his B.A. in International Relations from Saint Joseph’s University.
