ASB Accredited by AACSB International

The Anisfield School of Business (ASB) provides students with a strong educational foundation for a lifetime of learning and career achievement as responsible contributors and leaders. In recognition of the School’s commitment to this mission and its core values that emphasize academic excellence, inclusion, and professionalism, ASB and Ramapo College remains accredited by AACSB International – the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. The College earned its initial accreditation in 2011, was re-accredited in 2016 and again most recently in 2021.  AACSB International accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools.  Achieving and maintaining AACSB accreditation requires a rigorous, standards based, on-going process that requires the commitment of the entire faculty and staff of the school as well as the continual support of College administration.  In addition, key stakeholders include students, alumni and the business community, all of whom participate in the process.

AACSB’s goals to transform business education include fostering engagement, accelerating innovation, and amplifying impact on business education and practice, with a vision to transform business education globally for positive societal impact. ASB embraces these goals and demonstrates commitment to them through the engagement of our faculty and students in the learning process and innovations in teaching and experiential learning. Furthermore, the School impacts business through the scholarship of the faculty and the successful career paths of its graduates.

ASB is committed to positive societal impact and engagement with stakeholders through a range of internal and external initiatives and activities. Our curriculum, faculty research, and student activities are oriented toward positively engaging with and impacting society, in alignment with the school’s mission as well as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). ASB provides full support to student groups establishing events, activities, and initiatives that promote climate action, gender equality, waste reduction, responsible consumption, and other relevant topics, in collaboration with Ramapo College’s sustainability efforts. In addition to current activities, ASB has outlined immediate and long-term plans for advancing its societal impact efforts into the future.

A peer review team of experienced business school deans with detailed knowledge of management education visits the school for a Continuous Improvement Review every five years. The team ascertains that ASB continues to meet the high standards set by AACSB and is dedicated to the continuous improvement of its business programs, thus recommending continuation of accreditation. The Board of Directors of AACSB ensures consistent application of its rigorous standards across all schools of business worldwide, and affirms the decision.
