Ramapo offers a variety of ways for returning adult students to finish their undergraduate degree, whether through part-time studies, evening courses, or accelerated majors. Choose from more than 40 majors or explore our innovative accelerated majors in the Accelerated Degree Completion Program.
Graduate programs at Ramapo College respond to the needs of today’s professionals, allowing our students to engage in a collaborative setting with our dedicated faculty in curricula that truly blends theory and practice.
Ramapo College welcomes students who wish to take courses as a Non-Degree seeking student.
Are you someone who:
• Wishes to take courses to help with job skills or for personal enrichment
• Never attended college but wishes to try college by taking a course at Ramapo
• Currently attends another college or university and wishes to take a class at Ramapo as a visiting student
• Already has a Bachelor’s Degree but wants to take a course to prepare for graduate study, personal enrichment or teacher evaluation
If you are, then Ramapo College is a great place to start.
If you are a matriculated student (accepted and enrolled in a specific degree program) who voluntarily interrupts your study at Ramapo for two or more consecutive semesters, you must apply for readmission before resuming study. Please use the Ramapo College online application to re-apply. Students readmitted under these circumstances continue their studies under the graduation requirements in effect at the time of their readmission.
Students who have not attended Ramapo in three or more years must resubmit all official transcripts.
The mission of the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) at Ramapo College of New Jersey is to provide access to higher education and support for highly motivated students who exhibit the potential for success, but who come from families/communities disadvantaged by low income and a lack of access to quality educational preparation necessary to attend college.
Each year more than 700 transfer students enroll at Ramapo College of New Jersey. These students enter from more than 135 colleges nationwide including 35 New Jersey colleges. Approximately 60 percent of these students enroll from two-year colleges. Ramapo also enrolls transfer students from colleges all around the United States and from countries all over the world.
Ramapo College of New Jersey welcomes applications from International Students seeking an F1 student visa. Students from more than 40 countries are currently attending Ramapo College. In 2023, Ramapo College received over 7500 applications from all 21 counties in NJ, 33 different states and 34 foreign countries.
This fall Ramapo College welcomes over 900 freshmen primarily from New Jersey, the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions of the United States and from many foreign countries.
