Shaziela Ishak

Dr. Ishak received her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from New York University. She is an Assistant Professor at Ramapo College of New Jersey and Director of the Child Development Lab. Her research examines how people learn use both perceptual and social information to perceive possibilities for motor action for both their own bodies and objects. She is interested in understanding behavior at both the individual and group level. Dr. Ishak has gained insight into perception of actions across the lifespan by observing infants, children, and adults.

Carly Garie

Carly Garie, from Rockaway Township NJ, is currently a senior at Ramapo College. She is majoring in Psychology and completing a minor in Women’s Studies. Carly has been teaching dance to young children for many years, which is how she became interested in developmental psychology. She hopes to continue her education in graduate school and pursue a career in Clinical Psychology or Social Work.

Roya Amirniroumand

Roya Amirniroumand is a sophomore at Ramapo College from Saddle River, New Jersey. She is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Substance Abuse. She is interested in attending graduate school and pursuing the field of Clinical Psychology.

Ellen Brody

Ellen Brody is currently a senior at Ramapo College. After earning her B.A. in psychology and completing a minor in sociology, she plans to work in the mental health field. In the future, Ms. Brody hopes to apply to doctoral programs in clinical psychology.

Marianella Clavelo

Marianella Clavelo is currently a sophomore in the Honors Program at Ramapo College. She is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Political Science, Spanish, and Women Studies. She is originally from Lodi, New Jersey and hopes to attend graduate school in order to pursue her wish to be a clinical therapist.
