Wellness is not a destination, it is a journey.

Please join People Operations & Employee Resources in our journey of wellness by participating in the wellness activities planned for the spring semester:

Please wear appropriate clothing and bring water for all activities and for the yoga classes – please bring a yoga mat.

Horizon Behavioral Health

On Thursday, May 16 at 12 pm in SC 156, Horizon Behavioral Health team members will provide an overview of mental health and substance use disorder services and demonstrate Horizon MindCare with new tools and resources available to SHBP members as of 7/1.  Please register here:  LINK

Stress Management Workshop

On Wednesday, May 8,  a stress management workshop will take place in the York Room at noon.  This presentation will explore the definition of stress and delves into common academic stressors such as workload, work-life balance, and academic pressures. We will explain how to recognize stress with an emphasis on signs and symptoms. Strategies for managing stress such as mindfulness and relaxation exercises will be explored in order to better equip faculty and staff with the tools they need to navigate stress more effectively, fostering a healthier, balanced professional life. Meditation has been shown to offer many benefits.  Although it is well known as a technique to reduce stress and anxiety, research shows that it may also help enhance your mood, promote healthy sleep patterns and boost cognitive skills.
