In order to receive financial aid, all applicants must provide their Social Security Number when applying for admission to Ramapo. Students should follow the procedures detailed in the “Applying for Aid” section above.
Students who graduate from Ramapo must have their matriculation record updated if they enroll in the Post Baccalaureate Teacher’s Certification Program. The Office of Financial Aid cannot make awards until the matriculation is updated through the Office of the Registrar.
Students enrolled in the Post Baccalaureate Teacher’s Certification Program must be enrolled for at least 6 credits and are eligible only for the Federal Direct Student Loan programs, as well as various alternative private loan programs:
Post Baccalaureate Teacher’s Certification students may borrow under the Federal Direct Student Loan Programs as follows:
Independent Post Baccalaureate Teacher’s Certification Students: These students are eligible for a Federal Direct Student Loan total of $12,500; $5,500 can be subsidized.
Dependent Post Baccalaureate Teacher’s Certification Students: These students are eligible for a Federal Direct Loan total of $5,500.
Dependent Student: These students may borrow additional UNSUBSIDIZED Direct Student Loans up to $5,000 only if parents are denied the Federal PLUS loan.
