PRESIDENTIAL SPEAKER SERIES: “Humanity in the Age of AI & Cybersecurity: An Interdisciplinary Exploration”

The Office of the President hosted a fireside chat on April 7, 2025 with President Cindy Jebb and Charlie Lewis, Partner and Lead, McKinsey & Company’s North American Cyber and Tech Risk Service Line.

During Lewis’s visit with Ramapo College, he spent time with students in our AI & Business class as well as with community partners. In addition, he participated in an intimate roundtable discussion with students representing the Honors Program, Ramapo Management Consulting Group, Student Government, Enactus, and Alpha Kappa Psi.

Charlie Lewis

Charlie Lewis, McKinsey & Co.

Based out of McKinsey’s Darien, Connecticut office, Charlie protects the world’s top brands by leading strategic cyber transformations with a focus on future-proofing capabilities and designing modern operating models to meet regulatory requirements. Prior to joining McKinsey, Charlie served over 13 years in the U.S. Army. While in the Army, his experiences ranged from service with the 101st Airborne Division in Iraq to teaching as an Assistant Professor the Department of Social Sciences at the United States Military Academy. Before leaving Active Duty for the Army Reserves, he developed the Army’s cyber leadership education programs and was the second in charge of a 5000 person IT and cyber training organization.

Charlie holds an M.P.P. from Harvard University’s Kennedy School and a B.S. in Geography and Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy. He formerly served as a Term Member on the Council on Foreign Relations and as a Madison Policy Forum Cybersecurity fellow. He is married to the former Marie Cicerelle, also a USMA graduate, and they have one daughter – Audrey, 9.
