May 14, 2025: Arching Day

Ramapo College will host Class of 2025 graduates and their guests on campus for the time-honored tradition of Arching!

The Arching Ceremony will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will be followed by a Farewell Reception.

Other special recognition programs take place on campus throughout the day:

• 10 a.m. Nursing Pinning Ceremony, Bradley Center Arena
• 12 p.m. Rites of Passage Ceremony, Friends Hall/SC219
• 2 p.m. Academic Achievement Ceremony, Sharp Theater

Pre-registration is required and will open on April 1.

Arching Day Details

May 15, 2025: Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony (Bachelors Degrees)

The Ramapo College Class of 2025 Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony will be held at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. The ceremony will begin with the academic processional at 8:40 a.m.

Tickets are not required.

May 22, 2025: Graduate Programs Commencement Ceremony (Masters/Doctoral Degrees)

The Ramapo College Class of 2025 Graduate Programs Commencement Ceremony will be held on campus in the Arena of the Bill Bradley Sports and Recreation Center. Doors will open at 4 p.m. The ceremony will begin with the academic processional at 5:15 p.m.

Tickets are required for all guests. Graduates do not need a ticket.

Graduation vs. Commencement

Graduation and Commencement are often confused for one another.

Graduation is the completion of all degree requirements as certified and recorded on a student’s official transcript.  To graduate from Ramapo College, you must submit an online graduation application by the required deadline.  Click here for more information on the graduation requirement, the online graduation application and deadline dates.

Commencement is the ceremony that celebrates the completion (or anticipated completion) of your degree. All January graduates and June & August graduation candidates are invited to participate. Commencement marks the conclusion of your academic career; a time for the Ramapo College community, along with your family and friends, to celebrate you. Participation in this ceremony does not guarantee graduation.
