Arching – Thursday, May 16, 2019

Ramapo College will host Class of 2019 graduates and their guests for the time-honored tradition of Arching on Thursday, May 16, 2019. Arching ceremonies mark both the beginning and ending of the Ramapo College experience.

On their first day as Ramapo students, the Class of 2019 marched up Mansion Road and through the Arch. On May 16, graduates of the Class of 2019 will process through the Arch and down Mansion Road as it is lined with cheering families, friends, faculty and staff.  Arching is open to both Undergraduate and Graduate students, and all graduates should wear their regalia.

The Arching Ceremony will begin at 4:15 p.m. and will be held at the Arch.  Please note this is an outdoor event that involves a lot of walking and standing for guests.

During the Arching Ceremony, guests’ view near the Arch may become obstructed by faculty greeting graduates.  Please plan your viewing location accordingly.

There will be professional photographers at Arching.  While they will capture hundreds of pictures before and during the ceremony, they may not be able to photograph every graduate.  To receive the link to view your photo gallery from Island Photography, visit
