More about Dr. Jebb…
Dr. Jebb was unanimously recommended to the Board of Trustees by the College’s 2021 Presidential Search Committee. The 15-member Committee, chaired by Susan A. Vallario, Chair of the Board, included trustees, students, alumni, faculty and staff.
The search process, which began in Fall of 2019 and concluded Spring of 2021, was highly iterative, community-centered, and focused on the best interest of the College at large. Chair Vallario provided regular communications to the College community, apprising members of the search progress via email, at Board of Trustees meetings, and on the College’s website. Myriad forums to gather feedback throughout the 18-month process provided opportunities across constituent groups to pose questions, share perspectives, and add value to the College’s search and recruitment efforts.
AGB Search, the external search firm selected to partner with the Presidential Search Committee, conducted a collaborative, campus-wide needs assessment which included a variety of listening sessions with members of the College. Results of the assessment informed the Position Profile as well as the advertisement/outreach campaign, which included inclusive recruitment strategies designed to attract candidates who embodied the forward-thinking, dynamic, and collaborative spirit of the College.
Semi-finalists participated in virtual confidential interviews with the Search Committee, and finalists participated in multi-day virtual visits which included private and public sessions as well as a Town Hall event with Q & A. Members of the College completed post-visit surveys of each candidate, the results of which were provided to the Board of Trustees. Upon review and discussion of the full record of the search process, the Board of Trustees voted unanimously to appoint Dr. Cindy Jebb as the College’s fifth president.
