This workshop, hosted by the Division of Pensions and Benefits, will cover your retirement benefits, beneficiary options, group life insurance, loan provisions, and the taxability of your pension. It will include a step-by-step approach to explain how to file your retirement application online using the Member benefits Online System( MBOS), explain what happens after you submit your application. There will also be a brief discussion regarding State Health Benefits Programs in retirement. Time permitting, the seminar will conclude with a question and answer period. You should complete and print a Retirement Estimate using MBOS and bring your estimate to the seminar so you can follow along during the presentation. Retirement estimates are not provided at the seminar. Estimates obtained from MBOS use the most current posted salary and service information. Please note supervisory approval is required in order to ensure adequate staffing to meet the operational needs of the department.
