Fall 2026 New Student Experience

Welcome to Ramapo College! We are excited to have you a part of the Ramapo College community. We have created a great experience for you and are confident that it will help you acclimate to life at Ramapo. New Student Experience is a multi-step process for all new students. Find your student type below to see each step in the process.

Fall 2026

First-Year Students

A full outline and detailed instructions for each of the steps below can be found in your Admissions Portal. An outline of the steps are listed below:

Step 1: Activate Your Ramapo College Email Address
Step 2: Complete Placement Testing prior to your In Person Orientation Session
- Please note, for transfer credit, AP scores and/or SAT/ACT scores to exempt you from testing, you must officially send transcripts/score reports to admissions@ramapo.edu.
Step 3: Complete First-Year Advisement Survey ASAP
Step 4: Complete Virtual New Student Module ASAP
- Please note: after May 1, access will be granted 24-48 business hours after your deposit has been processed by Admissions.
Step 5: Register for Advisement ASAP
- Call the Center for Student Success at (201) 684-7441 to register for a 1 on 1 academic advisement appointment and register for courses.
- Please note, your Virtual New Student Module and Testing must be completed before you attend.
Step 6: Submit Immunization Information by July 30th
Step 7: Complete On-Campus Housing Information
- Students who did not complete the housing portal on time or are accepted to the college and deposit after the housing portal has closed (June 10th) will not have access to the housing portal. These students will be emailed individually by the Office of Residence Life and will be provided with further details pertaining to housing.

- Legacies in the Making August 20–22, 2026 – Designed for first-generation students, this experience offers an early start to building connections, confidence, and community before the semester begins.
- Commuter BBQ to be held on August 11, 2026 from 12pm-2pm! This is a great chance to meet other new students joining Ramapo this fall! All students interested in attending this event must RSVP at the following Archway link: https://cglink.me/2fF/s60 743.
- Welcome Week starting with New Student Move In and Check In on Sunday, August 23, 2026

Transfer Students

Step 1: Activate Your Ramapo College Email Address
Step 2: Complete Virtual New Student Module ASAP
