Fall 2026 New Student Experience

Welcome to Ramapo College! We are excited to have you a part of the Ramapo College community. We have created a great experience for you and are confident that it will help you acclimate to life at Ramapo. New Student Experience is a multi-step process for all new students. Find your student type below to see each step in the process.

Fall 2026

First-Year Students

A full outline and detailed instructions for each of the steps below will be outlined in your Admissions Portal beginning in early May. An outline of the steps are listed below:

Step 1: Activate Your Ramapo College Email Address
Step 2: Complete Placement Testing (Beginning in April, if applicable)
- Please note, for transfer credit, AP scores and/or SAT/ACT scores to exempt you from testing, you must officially send transcripts/score reports to admissions@ramapo.edu.
Step 3: Complete First-Year Advisement Survey (Beginning in early May)
Step 4: Complete Virtual New Student Module (Beginning in early May)
- Please note: after May 1, access will be granted 24-48 business hours after your deposit has been processed by Admissions.
Step 5: Register for In-Person Orientation (Beginning in early May)
- In-Person Orientation is an all day event.
- Students and families can select one of the following dates: June 23, June 24, June 25, June 30, July 1, July 2, July 14, July 15, July 22, July 23.
- EOF Student MUST attend In-Person Orientation prior to the start of the summer program (June 23, June 24, June 25, June 30, July 1 or July 2)
- Please note, your Virtual New Student Module must be completed before you attend.
Step 6: Submit Immunization Information
Step 7: Complete On-Campus Housing Information (in June, if applicable)
- Students who did not complete the housing portal on time or are accepted to the college and deposit after the housing portal has closed (mid June) will not have access to the housing portal. These students will be emailed individually by the Office of Residence Life and will be provided with further details pertaining to housing.

Transfer Students

A full outline and detailed instructions for each of the steps below will be outlined in your Admissions Portal in early May. Log in to your portal to confirm your status on each of the steps listed below:

Step 1: Activate Your Ramapo College Email Address
Step 2: Complete Virtual New Student Module (Beginning in early May)
- Please note: after May 1, access will be granted 24-48 business hours after your deposit has been processed by Admissions
Step 3: Register for Transfer Advisement (Beginning in early May)
- Please note, your Virtual New Student Module must be completed before you attend.
Step 4: Submit Immunization Information
Step 5: Complete On-Campus Housing Information (in June, if applicable)
