Faculty Assembly is open to a general college audience, including administrators, but only FA members may vote. Faculty, including library faculty and all full-time employees contractually obligated to teach are FA members as defined by our bylaws.

College President’s Report:

  • Appreciation for facilities and grounds personnel for their work during the snowstorm
  • KNUST visit remarks and progress on collaborative efforts
  • More budget information will be available on March 10

Provost’s Report:

  • Visitors from KNUST – encouragement of discussions at the unit level on projects with them
  • Presentation on the evolution of DegreeWorks coming soon
  • Appreciation for all-College personnel committee members
  • Appreciation for Colleen Martinez for chairing the IRB
  • Research and engagement academy has been launched
  • Snow day policies to be discussed with AFT and FA

FA Voting/Elections:

  • Jeffrey Ellsworth (Associate Professor, Law & Society) elected to the position of Faculty Assembly President for the 2-year term beginning in Fall 2026 by a vote of 66 Approve, 0 Do Not Approve, 0 Abstain (90 eligible). Congratulations, Jeff!

Formal FA meeting adjourned at 2:15 pm. Followed by a Faculty Forum discussion and feedback gathering session on GE revision, led by GECCo.
