Fall 2025 New Student Experience

Welcome to Ramapo College!  We are so excited to have you a part of the Ramapo College community.  We have created a great experience for you and are confident that it will help you acclimate to life at Ramapo.  New Student Experience is a multi-step process for all new students. Each step in the process is listed below and will be viewable in your admissions portal as they become available.

Fall 2025

First-Year Students

A full outline and detailed instructions for each of the steps below are outlined in your Admissions Portal.  Log in to your portal to confirm your status on each of the steps listed below:

  • Step 1: Activate Your Ramapo College Email Address
  • Step 2: Complete Placement Testing (if applicable)
    • Please note, for transfer credit, AP scores and/or SAT/ACT scores to exempt you from testing, you must officially send transcripts/score reports to admissions@ramapo.edu.
  • Step 3: Complete First-Year Advisement Survey (link will be available May 1)
  • Step 4: Complete Virtual New Student Module (link will be available May 1)
    • Please note, after May 1, access will be granted 24-48 business hours after your deposit has been processed by Admissions
  • Step 5: Register for In Person Orientation and Advisement (link will be available May 1)
    • This one day session will run from 9am-4pm.  Students are invited to bring up to 2 guests with them, a separate Family schedule is planned for any guests.  Be sure to complete step 2 prior to attending orientation! The following dates will be available: June 24, June 25, June 26, July 8, July 9, July 10, July 15, July 16, July 23.
    • Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) Students:
      • Must select an orientation date prior to the start of the summer EOF program (June 24, 25 or 26).
      • At the conclusion of your In Person Orientation and Advisement Session, the EOF program invites you to wrap up your day with the EOF Summer Studies Institute Orientation. Scholars and their families will gain insight into summer expectations, explore the program agenda, meet the EOF staff, and more!  This program will end at 5pm.
  • Step 6: Submit Immunization Information
  • Step 7: Complete On-Campus Housing Information (if applicable, link will be available in June)
    • Please note, important information about on-campus housing for the upcoming semester will be sent on May 15, 2025 to all new students who submitted their housing deposit.

Transfer Students

    • Please note, your Virtual New Student Module must be completed before you attend.
  • Step 5: Submit Immunization Information

    • Please note, important information about on-campus housing for the upcoming semester will be sent on May 15, 2025 to all new students who submitted their housing deposit.
  • Additional Reminders:
    • Accept your Student Loans
    • Save the Date: Commuter and Transfer BBQ on August 12, 2025 (rain date: August 13, 2025)
    • Save the Date: Welcome Week starting with New Student Move In and Check In on Sunday, August 24, 2025

  • Readmit Students (previously studied at Ramapo) Beginning in December, sign up for your one on one academic advisement appointment via the link in your admissions portal.
  • Degree Completion Program (DCP) Students contact Trish Laprey at plaprey@ramapo.edu for more information about your orientation program.
  • Passaic 2+2 and 3+1 Students contact Nora McCarthy at nmccart1@ramapo.edu for more information about your orientation program.
