For qualified ABSN 16 month track students – Summer 2026 (end of May) for 16-month accelerated cohort for those admitted and qualified with completion of all prerequistes.
For qualified Bridge to ABSN 24 month track students – prerequisites courses may be completed starting in Fall 2026, upon completion; students may be eligible to start in the Summer 2027 ABSN cohort
The GPA requirement is 3.0 or above for both ABSN and Bridge to ABSN.
Yes, for the ABSN 16 month track, the TEAS exam must be completed with a score proficient prior to enrollment.
For Bridge to ABSN 24 month track, students must sit for theTEAS exam and score proficient during pre-requisite course completion and prior to enrollment in ABSN 16 month track.
Yes, to be eligible for the 16-month accelerated program. A C+ or above in all prerequisite science courses is a program requirement for all tracks. Repeated courses will not be considered.
No, you will removed from the program and pathway and may complete a different major at Ramapo College if desired. Additionally any science prerequisites completed prior to the bridge program with grades lower than a C+ will render a student ineligible.
We do not accept repeated courses in the science prerequisites.
No, The ABSN program does not accept internal transfers.
No. Students who were once part of the Ramapo generic nursing program will need to speak with the Assistant Dean of Nursing about the possibility of being readmitted into the generic nursing program.
For the 16-month, full-time program, students cannot work in a full-time job as courses are rigorous and offered during the day.
For the 24-month bridge option, prerequisite courses will be offered in a part-time, hybrid format with evening and Saturday options and students may work if desired.
Financial aid is available through the FAFSA and students are encouraged to speak with the Office of Financial Aid for assistance. Payment plans are available as well.
Please research our community college articulation partnerships and AAS programs in the region. After enrolling and completing one of these RN programs, you may apply to our RN to BSN program.
No, you are not waived from any nursing courses or from taking the TEAS exam.
You may apply, but courses may need to be repeated.
No, we do not accept international nursing courses or nursing courses from other U.S. accredited institutions.
