Ramapo College of New Jersey offers an Accelerated Bachelor of Science (ABSN) in nursing for prospective students who hold a non-nursing bachelor’s degree or have a minimum of 60 credits from a regionally accredited institution.

The accelerated degree is a program for qualified students who wish to obtain a bachelor of science (B.S.N.) degree in nursing. The 16-month, 64-credit program starting in May 2024, is a full-time, day-time, in-person intensive experience that prepares students to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses exam and launch their careers soon after completion.

The accelerated nursing program also provides a strong foundation for graduate study at the master’s and doctoral levels, of which programs are offered at Ramapo College.

The 16 month program is for qualified students having all pre-requisites completed prior to admission. Ramapo is also offering an 8 month bridge to ABSN program starting in Fall 2024 for those students with little to no completion of pre-requisite coursework and that coursework will be offered in the evening/weekend hybrid part-time format allowing student to transition and prepare during the 8 months, so students are ready for the 16 month ABSN.

The application window for the May 2024 start date is closed. The application window for Summer 2025 will open in Fall 2024.
