Nitro College Scholarship

Nitro is sponsoring a $5,000 scholarship to help people finance the cost of a higher education. The Nitro Scholarship is open to all legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia who are applying to or enrolled in an accredited college or university for the upcoming (2016-2017) school year. SILA Post-Secondary College Scholarship

The Securities and Insurance Licensing Association Foundation offers students of any accredited post=secondary college or university a chance to receive a $2500 merit scholarship. Applicants are required to be a U.S. Citizen or permeant resident, have a GPA of 3.0 or better, be enrolled in an area of study pertaining to business administration, education, finance or accounting, insurance studies, marketing or mathematics. Applicants must also be enrolled in minimum of 12 credit hours OR be employed full-time and enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours.

Applicants must submit a scholarship application form to the Multicultural Educational Foundation. Applicants are also required to submit a 1000-word essay answering why they are interested in a particular field of study and how they plan on making a difference with the degree they are perusing. R&D Systems Scholarship
Amount: $1500

R&D Systems aims to support students looking to obtain a degree in a science related field. Applicants are required to write a personal statement of 500 words or less on how they plan to use their degree to further advance science in their field of interest. Applicants are also required to submit a 140-character statement/tweet on what they believe is the biggest hurdle for people working in their specific field of interest.

George Watt Prize Undergraduate Award
Amount: $250
Deadline: 7/1/18

Students located anywhere in the world are invited to submit an essay or thesis chapter about any aspect of the Spanish Civil War, the global political or cultural struggles against fascism in 1920s and 1930s, or the lifetime histories and contributions of the international volunteers who fought in support of the Spanish Republic from 1936 to 1938. The recipient will receive a $250 award. Undergraduate student applicants are required to submit an essay between 2000 and 10500 words. Submissions are permitted to be in either Spanish or English. Submissions must have been created to fulfill an undergraduate course or degree requirement. Any work produced since August 1, 2017 is eligible to be submitted for the competition.
