Wada, Warner Visual Arts Senior Thesis Exhibition Prize

Warner Wada, a photographer/artist, served as professor of fine arts in the School of Contemporary Arts at Ramapo College of New Jersey from September, 1979 until his retirement in December 2019. He was also an active member of many governance committees at the College, including the Minority Faculty Staff Association. He holds degrees from the Art Institute of Chicago and Yale University.

  • For Senior visual arts students who present their work in the Ramapo College art galleries at the culmination of each year. 

2023 Recipient

Blake Taylor

Blake Taylor of Wharton, NJ is a Photography major. He has a 4.0 GPA. His photography combines an appreciation of the land, the culinary arts, and his desire to craft great images. Before becoming a photographer, Blake was as an Art Director and Film Editor and has worked for many national brands in New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and New Jersey. His work has been featured in Communication Arts, the Communication Arts website and Print Magazine.

He holds a BA in Music Performance from Rowan University as well as an AS from County College of Morris. Further, he is currently a photography and video contributor to Getty Images.



2022 Recipient

Henry Millar

Henry Millar of Galloway, NJ graduated in May 2022 with a degree in Visual Arts. “I was proud of what I made for my senior thesis, and learning that I received this prestigious prize, I am even more proud. This recognition has confirmed that I should continue with another project just like it, or even a sequel.”
