The Frances Barnd Scholarship

Joan Pecchio (formerly Peckio) Carini graduated from Ramapo College in 1974. She majored in Literature. When her mother, Frances R. Barnd, died on July 4, 2010, Joan decided to honor her mother by making a donation to Ramapo College.

Mrs. Barnd enjoyed reading, politics, art and traveling. Her family remembers her love of family, intelligence, graceful style and sense of humor.

To thank Joan for her thoughtfulness and generosity, Literature professors chose an outstanding Literature major to receive a one- time scholarship.
