Ramapo College of New Jersey now offers an Accelerated Bachelor of Science (ABSN) in nursing for prospective students who hold a non-nursing bachelor’s degree or have a minimum of 60 credits from a regionally accredited institution.

The accelerated degree is a program for qualified students who wish to obtain a Bachelor of Science (B.S.N.) degree in Nursing. The program is a full-time, day-time, in-person intensive experience that prepares students to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses exam (NCLEX-RN) and launch their careers after completion.

ABSN (16-month)

The ABSN 16- month program is for qualified students having all prerequisites completed prior to admission

Bridge to ABSN (24-month)

The “Bridge to ABSN” 24-month program is for students with little to no completion of prerequisite coursework. The bridge coursework will take place in the fall and spring semesters, and are offered in the part-time format with evening and Saturday options available. Upon prerequisite completion, these students will enter the full-time, day-time 16-month ABSN coursework the following summer.

The application will be available on December 1, 2025.

The application deadline is February 1, 2026.
