Honor cords for honor societies, clubs and organizations are being distributed prior to May 12, and graduates are responsible for bringing these with them. Honor cords, for graduates earning Latin Honors, may be picked up the morning of the ceremony at the Barnabas Health Hockey House to the left of the Ford Tower.

Seating for graduates is by school (ASB, CA, HGS, SSHS, TAS). Graduates may sit with their friends and classmates within these schools. Friends should stand behind or in front of each other when lining up.

The ceremony is expected to last 3 hours. After the ceremony, graduates will be directed to exit Prudential Center via the Ford Tower. Please plan to meet your families outside of the arena on Mulberry Street.

Reader Cards

Undergraduates may pick up their reader cards from Roadrunner Central from April 14-May 10.

Your reader card is what will be used to read your name out loud as you cross the stage at Prudential Center during the Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony on Thursday, May 12.

Please write your name how it sounds so it can be more easily pronounced. Examples are below:

  • If your name is Raule Watnabe, you would write: Rah-uhle Wat-nah-bee
  • If your name is Gloria Jeong, you would write: Gloria Jung
  • If your name is Michael Smith, you would write: Michael Smith (no notes needed!)

Please complete the front and the back of the card.  Do not bend, fold or tear your reader card.

The College’s Name Committee has partnered with the Commencement Planning Committee to offer a service to graduates who wish to have a name, other than the name that appears on their Commencement Reader Card, announced on May 12. If you would like information on utilizing a Used Name for Commencement, please contact Rick Brown at
