Message from the Dean Edward Saiff, Ph.D.
School of Theoretical and Applied Science

Edward SaiffWelcome to Ramapo G.O.L.D. “Graduates Of the Last Decade”!

At Ramapo, we are very proud of who we are and how we are moving forward. But we can’t do it without your help.  As a member of the G.O. L D. Graduates of the Last Decade at Ramapo, you represent the College’s future.  We need your input as to how to make improvements in preparing our graduates for today’s workforce.  And we are here to help you further your career as well.

Many exciting things are happening in TAS. First, save April 18, 2018 for the TAS Research Symposium. We are planning a few exciting changes to the symposium but of course the highlight will be oral and poster presentations by our research students. We are also planning new majors in robotics software design and data analytics. We are moving forward with applying for state approval for a DNP (Doctor of Nursing Practice). This spring we’ll be opening our new Nanaotechnology lab.

Dr. Gary Fisk has retired and sadly Dr. Seung-sup Kim lost his battle with cancer during the fall semester.

If you’re not already a G.O.L.D. member, please take a few moments to register using the form below:

Welcome Ramapo Alumni G.O.L.D. from the Cahill Career Center

Exciting changes are underway at Ramapo College’s Career Center!

In January, the Cahill Career Center transitioned to a new career management platform called Handshake. Handshake is used by over 475 career centers nationwide including Stanford, Princeton, Brown and Berkeley.

Handshake gives Ramapo students and alumni access to a powerful network of national employers in addition to our established employer partners. In the 3 months since we introduced Handshake, the number of job postings – full-time, part-time and internships – increased by 134% from the same time period last year.

Alumni are welcome to join Handshake using their Ramapo College email address at the following link —

Giving at Ramapo

Every single GOLD alumni makes a difference in the Ramapo community. Here’s why your support is essential:

  • Leadership: Your participation identifies you as a leader amongst your peers – and greater alumni participation increases value to your degree.
  • Philanthropy: With a gift to the College, you play a vital role in ensuring that current and future students have the same opportunities you did.
  • Commitment: Your annual support allows the College to continue to provide much needed scholarships and faculty research grants and maintain its role as a leading institution.

What size gift should I make?

Every single gift counts, regardless of the size. To start, make a gift in honor of your class year ($20.17 = Class of 2017)

If you work for a company that matches charitable gifts, you may be able to double or even triple the impact of your gift…at no cost to you! See if your company will match your gift by visiting:
