“College was a challenging, yet rewarding experience. As a transfer student to Ramapo in my freshman year, I received a lot of help in gaining back credits for the literature program, in which diverse classes helped me earn a broad knowledge of the subject. I decided that I wanted to spread my love for literature to others and become a teacher. Both the literature and teacher education department worked together to prepare me for work after graduation. I had the opportunity to study in Venice, Italy, during the summer of 2011 and it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
I learned so much about a new culture and learned a lot about myself, and I gained a great sense of responsibility and independence. Studying abroad is something I believe that all students should look into. It is such an amazing experience!” – Alex Polizzo ‘13 earned a degree in Literature and is certified to teach at the secondary education level.
