Wada Art Scholarship Fund

 

The Wada Art Scholarship Fund was started by Professor Warner Wada, a photographer/artist. He served as professor of fine arts in the School of Contemporary Arts at Ramapo College from September, 1979 until his retirement in December, 2019.

He was also an active member of many governance committees at the College, including the Minority Faculty Staff Association. He holds degrees from the Art Institute of Chicago and Yale University. As a working artist he understands the cost of supplies necessary to produce artworks, photographic prints and other creative works.  His intent in establishing this award is to assist deserving students with these expenses. The award is selected by the Dean of the School of Contemporary Arts in consultation with the Visual Arts faculty Art Scholarship Fund was started by Professor Warner Wada, a photographer/artist.   • Intended for students enrolled in the School of Contemporary Arts
  • Recipients recommended by members of the faculty
  • Students who have difficulty paying for needed supplies

This scholarship is not awarded through the application process.
