Maddi Annual Scholarship

The Maddi Annual Scholarship was established by Don Maddi, a member of the Ramapo College Foundation Board of Governors.  Mr. Maddi is retired from C.R. Bard, a provider of medical products and services, where he served as vice president for Compensation and Benefits.  The purpose of the Maddi Annual Scholarship  is to  provide much needed support for Psychology students who are academically qualified, and are currently not receiving  other private, state or federal scholarship awards.

 

  • Psychology major
  • Good Academic standing
  • Student cannot receive any other financial support; either from the college, private or public scholarships, Pell or TAG grants, etc.

2020 Recipient

Thomas Joseph Howley

Thomas Joseph Howley of Freehold, N.J. is a Psychology major and Music minor. He has a 3.3 GPA and has been a member of the Dean’s list four times throughout his college career. At Ramapo, Thomas takes part in an intermediate performance ensemble and open mic nights.

Thomas also volunteers at Bergen Center for Child Development, where he assists many disabled children. He has previously worked part-time retail positions and currently works hard to promote the success of his band “Jovial Moonrise.”

“After graduation I plan to further my education and become a licensed family counselor/relationship therapist.”
