Boycheva-Yordanov Annual Scholarship

Inna Boycheva’16 and Dobromir Yoranov’15 are Ramapo College computer science alumni who hold a firm belief that education happens inside and outside of the classroom, and there’s always something new and exciting to be explored.  As international alumni, they understand the hardship and unique challenges of living and working far away from home during college years. That is why they decided to create a scholarship for students who actively pursue extracurricular activities on or off campus during their freshman, sophomore, or junior year.

  • International or out-of-state student preferred
  • Students must be majoring in Computer science
  • GPA of 2.5+
  • Have held a leadership role on campus

2020 Recipients

Amish Regmi

Amish Regmi of Biratnagar, Nepal is a Computer Science major and a Math minor. He has a 3.9 GPA.

At Ramapo, Amish has been active in the International Student Organization, Computer Science and Tech. Club, and Math Club. He is also in the Honors Program and works as the Network Assistant for Ramapo ResNet.


Pradhyumna Wagle

Pradhyumna Wagle of Kathmandu, Nepal is a Computer Science major with a double minor in Economics and Math. He is a Presidential Scholar and holds a 3.8 GPA.  Upon graduation, he plans to pursue a PhD in Economics and Computer Science.

Pradhyumna has served as the President of the Computer and Technology Club, the Treasurer of Math Club, and a Delegate for the Student Government Association.  As an avid soccer player with Ramapo College Indoor Soccer team, he successfully reached the playoffs in the N.J. Open Superdome Tournament in 2019.

Pradyumna is also a native fluent in Nepali, Hindi, and near-native in Urdu and Spanish languages.


Salil Maharjan

Salil Maharjan of Kathmandu, Nepal is studying Computer Science. He has completed the TAS Research Honors Program and was inducted into Omicron Delta Kappa, where he served as President. His 3.9 GPA earns him a spot on the Dean’s List.

Salil is active in the International Student Organization, the International Student Exchance program, and is the President of the Ramapo Bachata Club. He is also a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).


Prabal Chhatkuli

Prabal Chhatkuli hopes to land a full-time role as a software developer and dreams of opening a start-up company. Prabal is from Kathmandu, Nepal and is a Computer Science major with a minor in Mathematics and Bioinformatics. He has a 3.9 GPA, is in the Honors program and has been on the Dean’s List every semester.

Prabal is the President of the Computer and Technology Club, an active member of the International Student Organization (ISO) and the South Asians Club. He has also volunteered with Teaneck Tutoring and Mahwah Environmental Volunteers Organization (MEVO). Prabal also works on-campus as a student manager in CSI Design, where he works to develop posters, logos, t-shirts, and other graphic material for organizations and offices on campus.


Shreeja Dahal

Shreeja Dahal is an international student from Kathmandu, Nepal pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. She is a Presidential Scholarship recipient and currently serves as Secretary for the National Society of Leadership and Success.

Shreeja is also a Leader in Service, an active member of the Sustainable Living Eco-Stewardship Program and currently serves as the Secretary of the International Student Organization.

She also works as a Helpdesk Technician and a Lab Assistant at Information Technology Services. After graduation, Shreeja plans to enroll in the Master of Science in Data Science Program at Ramapo.


Bibhash Mulmi

Bibhash Mulmi of Kathmandu, Nepal is a Computer Science major with a minor in Mathematics. He is a member of the Honors Program, has a 3.9 GPA, and has consistently appeared on the Dean’s List since his freshman year. Bibhash has served as the President for the Computer and Technology Club and the Treasurer of the International Student Organization.

He has also been involved in HackRU, YHack, and HoyaHacks. During these events, he developed applications such as a personalized dictionary and a financial simulator. Bibhash has also recently worked as a Summer Analyst for Jefferies, LLC.
