The Academic Policy Council has reviewed the following policies and invites public feedback on the proposed revisions. Revisions are made using track changes in the linked documents. Please submit your feedback using this form.

Policy/Procedure Integrity of Degree Programs

Public feedback is open from January 23, 2026 – February 22, 2026. The revisions to the policy/procedure bring policy in line with with CAP Implementation: removes information related to school cores, creates credit maximum for general education, sets credit maximum for majors, and outlines process for waiver of credit cap for major. Policy/Procedure Retaking Courses and Grade Replacement

Public feedback is open from January 23, 2026 – February 22, 2026. The revisions to the policy/procedure separates this into two policies. For Retaking Courses, minor clarifications only. For Grade Replacement: allow grade replacement for IS and Topics courses as long as it’s the same course, and clarify that grade replacement can be used multiple times for a single course. Policy/Procedure Release of Academic Records for a Deceased Student

Revised to replace “transcript” with “record”, and requires the requester to include in writing which specific record they are looking to obtain. This administrative update brings the policy in line with current practice.

Policy/Procedure Posthumous Degree

Revised to note that that the degree is presented posthumously will be on transcript and in the Commencement program, but will not appear on diploma. This administrative update brings the policy in line with current practice.
