The President’s Award of Merit will be presented periodically to an alumni or friend of the College. The award recognizes distinguished accomplishments. It recognizes the College’s commitment to excellence in teaching and learning and serves as an inspiration to students.

Procedure

Initiated in 1994, The President’s Award of Merit recognizes distinguished accomplishments by Ramapo College alumni and friends of the College. Nominations are suggested by members of the Ramapo community and reviewed by the presidents of the Alumni Association, the Faculty Assembly, and the Professional Staff Association. The final selection is made by the President of the College, and presented at graduation. A record of past recipients of the President’s Award of Merit will be maintained in the Office of Institutional Advancement.
