Favorite Class: My favorite class so far is public speaking. It has allowed me to become more confident while speaking my mind and continuously improve upon my skills for the future. I believe this class is beneficial on many levels, although it may seem scary, and is a great way to prepare for classes to come and life after Ramapo.

Favorite Place on Campus: My favorite place on campus is the lawn in front of the Birch Mansion. It is a beautiful place to sit with friends and do work while looking at the beautiful scenery. Especially in the fall with the leaves changing colors, it makes for a perfectly peaceful environment.

Clubs/organizations: I am apart of Alpha Kappa Psi, the business fraternity on campus, and am on the Women’s Lacrosse team. I believe that AKPsi correlates with my interests by surrounding me with like-minded peers who have goals to network and improve professional relationships. Being involved on the Women’s Lacrosse team fulfills my desire to work alongside others to achieve a similar goal while allowing me to do something that I love.

Future Plans: I have future plans to intern at a media company and land a job in the field of sports journalism. Within the field of sports journalism post-graduation, I hope to work alongside professional teams and write for them, whether it be on-site reporting or behind-the-scenes writing.

Favorite Inspirational Quote: “Everything happens for a reason.”

Advice for First-Year Students: I advise first-year students to accept what is unfamiliar. Every new student is trying to find their way around so by trying something new, you can find life-long friends while understanding your own interests. Unfamiliarity is all a part of the first-year experience so by taking it in as an opportunity for something amazing to happen, positive outcomes will certainly come out of it.
