FYS Class:

Class of: 2026

Major/Minor: Nursing

Resident/Commuter: Resident

Favorite Class: My favorite class is either chemistry lab or psychology because I really enjoyed doing the experiments during class and actually to do more advanced labs than what I did in high school. Psychology also my favorite because I enjoy learning more about the functions of the brain and learning for the causes of the mind and behavior.

Favorite Place on Campus: My favorite place on campus is the little lawn area in front of Birch mansion. Recently with the weather getting nicer it is a nice and peaceful place that has a shaded areas to read or get some homework done.

Clubs/organizations: The top two clubs I am the most active are UAA and FASA, both clubs have surrounded me with more people who share the same or similar cultures with me, which I did not have in my hometown. I feel both clubs have brought me to bring me out of my shell more and become a bit more extroverted.

Future Plans: My post graduation plans are to pass the NCLEX and become a registered nurse working in either the NICU, aesthetic nurse, or travel nurse.

Favorite Inspirational Quote: “Turn your can’t in cans and your dreams into plans”

Advice for First-Year Students: A piece of advice for first-year students is join and as many clubs/organizations as you can. With doing so you’ll be able to find other people who have the similar interest as you, similar/same culture, and many other things. You can find your closest friends and build a support system that you need here in college through join the clubs. Starting college is very scary but at least to try to talk to one person everywhere you go, such as one person in class or in a club, from then on you can find connections and even build friendships. Push through the fear of how scary starting college is, because most likely everyone else is as scared as you are. It’s better to do something, than do nothing.
