2023 Presidential Speaker Series Is Looking Sharp

The Presidential Speaker Series is back for another year of engaging and consequential conversations that aim to enrich the academic and cultural experiences of students and the campus community. President and CEO of Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America Mike Marusic joined the fireside chat with President Cindy Jebb to talk about “Why the Little Things Matter” in our personal and professional lives. Marusic also underscored the pivotal role the liberal arts play in developing problem-solvers, and dissected the intricacies of leadership on a global scale. The event also saw the return of Ramapo alumni currently working at Sharp to support Marusic and visit campus.

Ramapo alumni who work at Sharp returned to campus for the fireside chat.

Now in its third year, the series, founded by President Cindy Jebb, welcomes influential, thought-provoking, and accomplished individuals to share their insights and expertise. Speakers represent a wide range of fields, including politics, academia, business, arts, and more. They deliver talks or participate in discussions that stimulate intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful dialogue. The series aims to foster an environment of open discourse, expose the Ramapo community to diverse perspectives, and inspire them to think critically about the world around them, contributing to their personal and intellectual growth.
