“Lesson from New Zealand: Ensuring Indigenous Inclusion in International Education”

March 23, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT

Join Education New Zealand for a viewing of a conference session titled Lesson from New Zealand: Ensuring Indigenous Inclusion in International Education, featured at the Diversity Abroad Conference in 2020. After viewing the past session, we will hold a discussion with its panellists:

  • Angel Geller (Omaha Tribe & Gilman Scholarship Recipient)
  • Hailey Suina (Chochiti Pueblo & Navajo Nation, Go Overseas Scholarship Recipient)

Join this panel session and hear from two future leaders about their experience studying abroad as Native American women in New Zealand and, through discussion, explore best practices in indigenous inclusion in study abroad outreach and support. The session will begin with a 45 minute viewing at 2 pm EST of the original Diversity Abroad session, followed by 45 minutes of audience Q&A with Angel and Hailey. Attendees are welcome to view the video recording here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzApFZT5tNo) in advance and join from 3:15 pm EST for Q&A. Special thanks to Diversity Abroad for allowing us to replay the session.
