Description of Violation: Hosted an unauthorized new member process with students who did not meet eligibility requirements set by the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.

Finding: Responsible

Description of Sanction: The chapter is suspended effective immediately through January 17, 2028. During the period of suspension an organization does not have the privileges afforded to a registered organization, including, but not limited to: participate in recruitment, including bid and new member processes; hold events; reserve rooms; hold chapter meetings; request funds from allocations, fundraise or do philanthropies; and participate as an organization in any activities sponsored by or affiliated with the college. Following Suspension, the chapter will be placed on Probation until January 1, 2030. Probation is a defined period of time whereby an organization is given an opportunity to modify their behavior or risk more severe sanctions. Any subsequent violation of the Code of Conduct or other college policies, while in this status, will likely result in expulsion from the College. Alpha Phi Delta will not be permitted to recruit new members until the fall semester of 2028.

Description of Sanction: The Chapter will be on probation through January 1, 2025. A defined period of time whereby a registered organization is given an opportunity to modify their behavior or risk losing status as a registered organization. Any subsequent violation of the Code of Conduct or other college policies, while in this status, will likely result in expulsion from the College. Any members who did not participate in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life’s mandated process for potential new members are required to complete that process during the next approved new member process.
