Greek Pillar Appreciation Week

Greek Pillar Appreciation Week is a week long appreciation week focused on a different pillar of Greek Life each day. Events and workshops including leadership programs, service opportunities and social events are part of what makes this week a great way for our Greek students to show the community the values that Greek Life was built upon.

National Hazing Prevention Week

National Hazing Prevention week is a part of a national initiative held at numerous colleges and universities across the country. This week is dedicated to raising awareness about = hazing, educating others about hazing, and promoting the prevention of hazing. Each year, the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life holds numerous events and tabling opportunities for students to sign the pledge to end hazing here at Ramapo and across the country!

Emerging Greek Leaders

Emerging Greek Leaders is a student run mentoring and leadership development program that will assess and improve the Fraternity & Sorority Life community at Ramapo and its members. The purpose of the program is to grow and improve Fraternity & Sorority Life and begin to allow the students to self-govern the community of Fraternity & Sorority Life at Ramapo College of New Jersey, effectively and proactively. *This program is currently being re-developed*

Meet the Greeks

Meet the Greeks is a Greek-wide recruitment event where students at Ramapo will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with our Greek leaders from each of our 25 fraternities and sororities. At this event, each organization has an information table where students can receive detailed information about each organization’s mission, values, philanthropy, etc and will be able to see select performances by several of our Greek organizations!

First Year Seminar Panel

The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life often presents to our first year seminar students about the benefits of Greek Life here at Ramapo! From the Greek Panel, students/faculty/staff will receive a better understanding of Greek Life and its values, a more accurate and positive attitude towards Greek Life in order to disregard any misconceptions, and reasons as to why Greeks on campus are considered leaders and will want to partake in a leadership role on campus as well. This program can be requested by other departments and organizations on campus.

Leadership Retreats

The Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life offers opportunities for leaders and future leaders to gain knowledge about improving their chapters, the Ramapo Greek Community, and themselves. The leadership opportunities include:
