This stream is located in the woods behind the Village apartments. It is a tributary of the Darlington Brook. The Darlington Brook is a sub-watershed within the larger Ramapo River watershed, which serves as a major source of drinking water for northern New Jersey.
The purpose of the Watershed Improvement Plan (WIP) is to identify opportunities to improve water quality, reduce stormwater contribution of pollutants to waterbodies with impairments and Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDLs), and to address stormwater flooding to protect human health and safety, and the environment.
Ramapo College will complete a comprehensive WIP in three phases as listed below.
A public information session is scheduled for Friday December 12, 2025 at 1pm in SC 158 to review the Watershed Improvement Plan. All are encouraged to attend and provide comments to help minimize pollutants from entering the surface waters. Comments can also be submitted to ehs@ramapo.edu.
