Housing Information Page

This page contains information for both Corporate Contacts and Corporate Interns

Thank you for your interest in Ramapo College’s Corporate Intern Housing. We are happy to assist you by providing housing for corporate interns. This Summer, the College Park Apartments residences will be the location for corporate intern housing. The CPA offers fully furnished apartments that consist of two double-occupancy bedrooms. Each intern; however, will get a single bedroom or 2 interns per apartment. Each apartment may be shared by a maximum of two interns this Summer! Refer to the Guide to Corporate Intern Housing for more information on housing features and amenities.

The following are the parameters by which the program will operate this summer (Please assume that any supplies and/or services that are not listed in these materials may not be provided by Ramapo College of NJ):

  1. All apartments have air-conditioner controls, a bathroom with a shower, and a kitchen equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven, and stove. There is a living room and dining area and ample space for personal storage and a private closet in each bedroom. Active cable TV connection and high-speed Internet access are also available (after an account is provided by the ITS department). The laundry facility is located in a separate building, located next to the CPA Hall Office.
  2. The sponsoring corporation must provide the name and contact information for the corporate contact person(s) who will coordinate all corporate intern housing reservations. Outline, in advance, any costs (damage deposit and rental payments) that will be paid by the corporation. Refer to the Corporate Contact Summary Sheet for details.
  3. An apartment and bedroom inventory will be conducted by Ramapo College Staff prior to the intern’s arrival to make note of the condition of the housing assignment. Each intern will receive their completed opening inventory form via email for their review, following their check-in. Each intern must review the condition of their apartment against the inventory report and communicate any discrepancies they may find in the apartment via email to corpintern@ramapo.edu within 48-hours of the time that the inventory report was sent to them via email, to avoid inaccurate billing charges for damages and/or missing items.
  4. Furnishings for each student include a living room with a couch, two chairs, end table, and coffee table, a bedroom with a XL twin mattress, desk, desk chair and wardrobe, and a kitchen with full size refrigerator/freezer, a dining table with four chairs, and cabinet space. Each bedroom has two extra long twin beds.
  5. Room rental is based on a flat rate per night/per resident per single-occupancy room in an apartment, shared by up to 1(2) apartment-mates. The nightly rental rate remains the same regardless of the number of nights stayed. Apartment-mates can be other corporate interns from the same company (if available) or apartment-mates may be corporate interns from different companies. Housing placement may be assigned as intern housing applications are submitted/received.
  6. The first full month’s rent is due upon check-in. Rent payment cannot be reimbursed after it has been submitted to the College, even if the intern decides not to continue staying in the assignment for the remainder of the month.
  7. A housing (damage) deposit is required from each intern upon check-in. This housing deposit or a portion thereof may be refunded at a designated time after check-out, provided that all fees are fully paid, including rent, other charges, the access card and parking permit (if applicable) were returned to the hall office, there are no remaining/outstanding balances, and the apartment is left in the same condition that it was in at check-in, based on the apartment inventory form. A refund check may be issued. Expect to receive the refund in October.
  8. Interns will be assigned a campus mailbox upon arrival, at no additional cost. However, there is limited mail delivery during the summer. As a result, some interns may prefer to have time-sensitive mail and important packages sent directly to the location of their internship. This is highly recommended. Ramapo College cannot be held responsible for issues resulting from damaged or delayed mailing or package delivery.
  9. Interns will be provided with an Access Card that will give them access to their assigned apartment and limited access to College facilities. The entire College observes limited operating hours during the summer. College schedules may not coincide with interns’ work schedules.
  10. There will be a fine $15.00 charge to replace a lost or damaged access card and a fine charge for an improper check-out. Improper check-out is when a resident does not follow the check-out procedures, which consist of removing all personal belongings from the apartment, emptying the assigned mailbox, and returning the provided access card and parking permit (if applicable) to the hall office before 1pm on the designated date of departure.
  11. Free on-campus parking for one vehicle is included for each intern with a vehicle that has been registered for on-campus parking. See the cost information page for the fee for each additional parking permit. A valid parking permit is required for interns to park a vehicle on-campus during the intern’s summer stay in housing at Ramapo College.
  12. It is our expectation that interns will adhere to all Ramapo College policies. General rules regarding Ramapo College Housing and College policies can be found here.
Refer to these documents for information related to alcohol*, drugs, fire safety, and more.

*The entire Ramapo College campus is designated “alcohol prohibited” for the entire summer.  This means that alcoholic beverages are prohibited from all Ramapo College student and corporate intern on-campus housing, regardless of age. Public intoxication is also prohibited. Involvement in any breach of College policy may result in fines starting from $50 and/or cancellation of the remainder of the Housing Agreement and immediate removal from the residence. A discussion with the Area Director may or may not precipitate dismissal after a policy violation. The corporate contact may be notified of their interns’ behavioral concerns, including but not limited to violations of College policies and/or violations of federal, state, and local laws.

  1. Ramapo College has an open visitation policy for corporate interns, however only the agreed upon residents are permitted to reside in the assigned apartment. Married couples and/or couples involved in personal relationships may inquire about special arrangements for Summer Corporate Intern Housing.
  2. Refer to the “Timeline” on the Corporate Intern Website to find out the very first day of Corporate Intern Housing Check-in. Corporate interns cannot be permitted to move-in to the residences at Ramapo College prior to the advertised first date for Corporate Intern Housing Check-in. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT REQUESTS TO ARRIVE EARLIER CANNOT BE GRANTED.
  3. All check-in arrangements must be made in advance with email confirmation provided prior to arrival. Interns must provide the Hall Office with the exact date and anticipated time of arrival. Interns must submit the online Housing Agreement application form to request housing. Within 5 business days of submitting the online housing agreement application, an email confirmation will be sent to the applicant (corporate intern) and the corporate contact, confirming the housing reservation. Failure to receive this email confirmation in advance means that we have not yet reserved a housing assignment for the intern. The intern may send an email to corpintern@ramapo.edu to find out more information about the submitted housing application. Always refer to this Website for information.
  4. Refer to the “Timeline” on the Corporate Intern Website to find out the very last date and time for all Corporate Interns to Check-out of on-campus housing at Ramapo College. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT REQUESTS TO STAY LATER THAN THE ADVERTISED LAST DATE CANNOT BE GRANTED. This is due to scheduled maintenance projects and required preparations for Fall Ramapo College student check-in.
  5. Each intern must submit the online Housing Agreement in order to secure a housing assignment. Every attempt is made to assign interns from the same corporation together. However the College may place priority on maximizing occupancy. Housing is assigned on a first come first, serve basis. Interns that wish to reside together should apply early and indicate apartment-mates preferences in the online form or via email to corpintern@ramapo.edu.
