Immigration Workshop For F-1 Visa Students

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) and The Cahill Career Development Center are hosting an “Immigration Workshop” on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 3:00 pm in B-124. Facilitated by David H. Nachman, Esq., this workshop is aimed for all F-1 international students who are planning to graduate this spring/fall.

During this program, we would discuss the following topics:

1. How to speak to a prospective OPT/STEM employer about getting an H-1B non-immigrant visa;
2. How to properly change status from F-1/OPT work to an H-1B non-immigrant visa;
3. How to speak to an H-1B employer about the green card process;
4. Alternative Visas that can be used if you cannot get an H-1B because of the H-1B cap;
5. How to assess the possibility of obtaining a green card using PERM and pre-certified green card processes

Mr. Nachman is also a frequent lecturer at many academic institutions in the tri-state area. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Paralegal Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU) located in Teaneck and Madison, New Jersey.
