The Alumni Association hosted an alumni reunion for the Classes of 1985, 2000 and 2005 in conjunction with the annual SGA-organized Octoberfest, October 1 and 2.
Dr. Anthony T. Padovano presented “The Human Journey for Spiritual Meaning” to alumni and a tour of The Salameno Spiritual Center on September 20.
An inaugural Stephen & Mary Birch Fellowship recognition dinner was held July 29 at the Havemeyer House for those who have given leadership gifts to the 2010 The Fund for Ramapo College. Through generous annual gifts of $500 or more, alumni, parents, board members, faculty, staff and friends of the College strongly support Ramapo’s mission. These donations ensure that scholarships reach deserving students, new faculty can be hired and undergraduate student-faculty research is funded.
A committee comprised of several alumni help to ensure that the Ramapo College Foundation’s annual golf outing is a success. Members of the Ramapo College Alumni Association from Bergen County enjoyed a barbecue prior to the first TD Bank Summer Concert of the summer.
The Mercer County Regional Chapter of the Alumni Association held its inaugural event, a baseball game featuring Trenton Thunder vs. Altoona Curve, June 17. Ramapo alumni had their own designated dug out in the stands, giving them an opportunity to chat and cheer for the home team, Trenton Thunder.
New alumni met at Bar Anticipation in Belmar, NJ on June 26 to share their memories of Ramapo College and to anticipate new ones. They enjoyed cocktails, music, Ramapo-themed trivia games and each other’s company. A spectacular summer afternoon at the beach set the mood for this annual event.
At Champagne at Sunset, held May 13, Dr. Anthony J. DeCarlo ’77, this year’s recipient of The President’s Award of Merit, welcomed the Class of 2010 as the newest alumni. Graduating seniors embraced each other and enjoyed their pre-Commencement farewell.
This year’s Commencement ceremony, held May 14, boasted the largest graduating class in the history of Ramapo College. Surrounded by family, friends, faculty and staff, the 1,437 members of the Class of 2010 received their diplomas.
At the Alumni Greek Reunion held April 17, more than 80 alumni reconnected and reminisced about their frat and sorority days at Ramapo.
At the Nursing Alumni Reunion’s 10th Anniversary, held April 18, more than 50 graduates of Ramapo’s Nursing Program caught up on their professional and personal lives.
Alumni involved with the Women’s Center held a reunion April 25 at which founders Lee Sennish and Barbara Harrison were honored.
